Xeomin blocks nerve transmission to muscle cells.  As a result, those muscle fibers contract much less and no longer cause furrowing or "dynamic lines" to occur in the treated area.  Xeomin is similar to "Botox" made by the Allergan company in that the important protein which blocks nerve transmission is intact, there are just less protective proteins surrounding the active Xeomin molecule.
