Laser Skin Resurfacing, or a milder version termed Micro Laser Peel, sets a new standard for laser skin peels by allowing Dr. Crippen to precisely vary the depth and the effect of the laser treatment to your skin. For acne scars, you should plan on more than one treatment alone. Acne scar reduction with a laser requires multiple treamtents (3-4) for the best results. It is not possible to completely eliminate acne scarring with laser resurfacing, however we can achieve definite improvements with multiple treatments.

This laser can also be used to treat a variety of conditions including scars from trauma or injury. We can also remove moles, warts, and many other types of lesions safely with this exciting technology.
The laser beam is delivered through a computer-controlled device that automatically scans the area of skin being treated, removing thin layers of your skin’s surface for replacement by younger, healthier skin growth. Treatment depth can vary from 20 – 300 microns, resulting in softening of wrinkles, removing of age spots, improving pigmentation to deep scars, and birthmark removal.
Your healing time will depend upon the depth of your treatment; you may experience erythems (redness) which will last several days, then fading to pink within a week or two. Patients notice smoother, healthier, more vibrant skin almost immediately after the procedure.
